Convicted former prime minister Ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra, who recently began serving an 8-year prison term and is currently receiving medical treatment in the Police General Hospital in Bangkok, has already submitted a petition for royal clemency.

Phuket airport chief confirms app taxis welcome from Sept 1
Monchai Tanode, General Manager of Phuket International Airport, today (Aug 30) announced that taxi drivers who are hired through ride-sharing apps will be allowed to pick up passengers at Phuket International Airport, starting this Friday (Sept 1).

Elite Card price to be increased by 50%
Thailand Elite Card is preparing to raise its minimum membership price by 50% to 900,000 baht, from 600,000 baht.
